How We Work

Washed Grey Studio is a Berlin-based studio where we design and produce blank apparel with a vintage touch. Fresh garments with character: garment-dyed, distressed details, authentic retro vibes. All made for customization and rebranding. Our clients are young fashion labels, print shops, and embroidery studios that want to stand out.

By placing an order in our store, you are placing a pre-order for production.

Pre-Order Production Terms

Minimum Order

Minimum order: 20 pieces per style/product card.
Sizes and colors can be mixed within the same style, depending on available production options.

Volume discounts are applied in the cart. You can find the discount table on each product page.

Production Time

Production usually takes 4–8 weeks, depending on factory capacity, order size and the selected wash/distressing process.

Standing out from competitors with a unique vintage-style blank takes a little more time — but that is exactly the point.

Samples

You can order a Sample Pack before placing a production order.

Sample Packs can be returned within 14 days, as long as the items are unused, unwashed, undecorated and in resellable condition.

If you want to test printing, embroidery or washing, please order a test sample. Test samples are non-returnable, but the sample cost can be credited toward your future production order.

Payment

Production starts after full payment confirmation.

Depending on eligibility, business customers may be able to use flexible payment options such as Billie or Klarna. This can help you test demand, sell your merch project first and manage cash flow more comfortably.

Final availability and payment terms depend on the payment provider.

Shipping

After production is completed, orders are shipped from our Berlin/EU fulfillment location to customers across the EU.

Estimated delivery time within the EU: 1–10 business days, depending on the destination and shipping method.

Please Note

Our products are garment-dyed, washed, distressed or pre-aged. Small differences in color, fading, distressing, measurements and surface texture are part of the product character and may vary from piece to piece.

We recommend making your own print or embroidery test before starting larger decoration projects.

Tip for Studios

Before placing a larger order, ask your customers if they would like merch on a unique vintage-style blank.

Use our product photos, make a quick social media post, test the reaction and order based on real interest.
